Plans, credits and book size
This page explains how many pages each type of account can create, both in the web studio and through an agent connected over MCP, such as ChatGPT or Claude.
Information reviewed: October 25, 2026
1. How book size is measured
- Each coloring page costs 1 credit.
- The automatic cover costs 3 credits.
- Each optional front-matter page (copyright, tips, review or color test) costs 2 credits.
- A 24-page book with its cover uses 27 credits. The maximum is 60 pages per book.
2. Free account
Each account can create one sample book of up to 3 pages, with its cover, without spending credits. Downloads are watermarked. The sample book is one per account and does not renew.
3. Plans
- Weekly: 40 credits per week (US$7). Enough for 1 book of 24 pages or one book of up to 37 pages.
- Author: 200 credits per month (US$29). Enough for 7 books of 24 pages or one book of up to 60 pages.
- Publisher: 400 credits per month (US$49). Enough for 14 books of 24 pages or one book of up to 60 pages.
- Plan credits renew at the start of each paid period and do not roll over. Books created on a plan download without a watermark.
4. Top-ups
Active subscribers can add one-time credit packs (50 / 200 / 500 credits). They are added to the balance, do not expire and cover larger or additional books.
5. If you use an agent (ChatGPT, Claude)
- The agent can read your plan, your credits and the largest book you can create right now.
- It always quotes before creating and only creates after your confirmation.
- The agent does not sell plans or credits. To change your plan or add credits, sign in at kdpcoloringbook.com and open the billing section of your account.
6. Full rules
The credits, cancellation and refund policy describes in detail when credits are used and restored.
